Weld On Rail Shoulders

Weld on rail shoulders are produced by hot forging according to AREMA standards. The welded shoulder is made by hot forging process. This kind of shoulder is used in places where standard sleepers cannot be conveniently used. The shoulder needs to be welded to the flat steel base plate. In this way, it is possible to manufacture rail fastenings on rail sleepers and base plates, always in accordance with AREMA standards. Welded shoulders are available for clamps ranging in weight from 30 lbs to 113 lbs. Welded shoulders are typically used on rails where the shoulder is welded to a flat steel plate rather than a standard backing plate. Generally speaking, the production material of welded shoulders should be low carbon steel or medium carbon steel, depending on the customer's requirements.
