Surface treatment of Rail Shoulder

Common surface treatment processes

 

Hot Dip Galvanized

Principle: The Rail Shoulder is immersed in the molten zinc liquid, so that zinc and Rail Shoulder surface metallurgical combination, forming a dense zinc-iron alloy layer.
Advantages: Excellent corrosion resistance, strong weather resistance, long service life.

Sandblasting

Principle: The high-speed ejector sand is used to impact the Rail Shoulder surface to remove the oxide, rust and impurities on the surface to achieve the purpose of cleaning and coarsening.
Advantages: It can improve the adhesion of the coating and lay a good foundation for subsequent treatment.

Surface hardening

Principle: The high frequency quenching furnace is used to rapidly heat and cool the Rail Shoulder surface, so that the surface forms a high hardness martensitic structure.
Advantages: Improve the surface hardness and wear resistance, while maintaining the toughness of the internal structure.

Dacro coating

Principle: A new type of metal surface treatment technology, by the Rail Shoulder surface coated with a layer of zinc, aluminum and special organic matter coating, and after baking curing.
Advantages: Excellent corrosion resistance, strong weather resistance, no hydrogen embrittlement effect on the substrate, uniform coating thickness and dense.

Such as Oxygen Black (Oxygen Black), Plain Oiled (Plain Oiled), etc., these processing processes have their own characteristics, and can be selected according to specific needs.
