Production process

Material preparation

According to the specifications and uses of the fishplate, the steel with high strength, good toughness and corrosion resistance is selected.

Smelting and casting

The steel was smelted in electric arc furnace, and the molten steel meeting the requirements of fishplate was obtained by adjusting the furnace temperature and adding appropriate alloying elements. Molten steel is poured into a mold for casting.

Hot rolling and forming

The cast fishtail slab is heated in the heating furnace to improve its plasticity and reduce deformation resistance. The heated fishtail slab is rolled in a hot mill to reach the desired shape and size.

Heat treatment

The fishtail plate is quenched in the quenching medium to improve its hardness and strength. After quenching, the fishplate needs to be tempered to eliminate the quenching stress and improve its toughness and plasticity.

Inspection and testing

Check the surface quality of the fishtail plate to ensure that it has no cracks, inclusions, bubbles and other defects.
