use
The baseplate also enables the fastenings to be fixed on rail, so the type of the baseplate is various. The baseplate or tie plate can be fixed with a rail spike, or screw spike, or clip bolt, elastic clip or clamping clip.
The baseplate or so called sole plate provides the rail with a flat and smooth surface thus offered the vertical alignment for the rail system. This is why the baseplate or tie plate has the flatness requirement in production.
