Emergency rail clamp (proper size for rail profile)

Impact wrench (with 1" drive)

Torque multiplier (for high-tension applications)

Rail gap gauge (3-6mm standard)

Rail brush (for joint cleaning)

Anti-seize compound (for bolt threads)

 
 
Step-by-Step Installation Process
01.

Site Preparation

Activate track warning systems

Verify power isolation (for electrified tracks)

Remove damaged rail section (if applicable)

Clean rail ends with steel brush (minimum 30cm each side)

02.

Clamp Positioning

Align clamp symmetrically over rail joint

Ensure proper orientation (arrow markings toward rail end)

Maintain 4±1mm expansion gap (adjust for ambient temperature)

03.

Fastening Sequence

Hand-tighten all bolts (4 or 6 depending on model)

Pattern tightening (follow manufacturer's numbered sequence)

Initial torque to 150 Nm (110 ft-lbs)

Final torque to 300-350 Nm (220-260 ft-lbs)

04.

Post-Installation Checks

Verify clamp full contact with rail web

Confirm proper rail alignment

Check for visible gaps >0.5mm

Test electrical continuity (for signaling tracks)
