Inspection and maintenance of spike after galvanized treatment

Inspection and maintenance

Test

After the galvanized treatment is completed, the spike needs to be tested to ensure the quality and performance of the zinc layer. Common inspection methods include appearance inspection, thickness measurement, adhesion testing, etc.
Appearance inspection can check whether the zinc layer is uniform, smooth, no cracks and bubbles and other defects.
Thickness measurement The thickness of the zinc layer can be measured using a magnetic thickness gauge or an electronic thickness gauge to ensure that it meets the design requirements.
The adhesion test can be used to assess the binding force between the zinc layer and the spike base by a scratch test or a peel test.

Maintenance

In order to maintain the corrosion resistance of galvanized spike and extend its service life, it is necessary to carry out regular maintenance and maintenance.
Check regularly whether the zinc layer of spike is intact, and repair it in time if it is damaged or spalling.
Avoid using galvanized spikes in corrosive environments for long periods of time to reduce the risk of corrosion.
For the spike that has been corroded, it should be replaced in time to avoid causing safety hazards to the entire railway system.
