The main function of the QT400-15 track anchor is to fix the track and ensure the stability and safety of the track. During train operation, the QT400-15 track anchors are capable of withstanding huge loads and vibrations, keeping the track geometry stable and preventing track components from loosening or displacing.
Rail anchors or called rail anticreepers are spring steel clips that attach to the underside of rail tie plates and bear against the sides of rail sleepers. The function of rail anchors is to prevent longitudinal movement of the steel rails, either from changes in temperature or through vibration.

QT400-15 refers to the ductile Iron material, where QT stands for ductile iron (Que Mo Cast Iron), 400 means the tensile strength of 400MPa, 15 means the elongation of 15%. Nodular cast iron is obtained by adding nodulating agent to hot metal, and has the characteristics of high strength, high toughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. QT400-15, as a ductile iron, inherits these excellent properties and is well suited for the manufacture of railway embedded components, such as track anchors.
