Emergency stopping and Protection

When the track is found to expand, the stop signal should be set up in time to protect the train, and it is strictly prohibited to release the train at risk.
Inform stations, work areas and train drivers in motion to block lines to ensure traffic safety.

Cooling treatment

Watering cooling method is used to reduce the temperature pressure in the rail, so that it can restore the normal state of the line or reach the degree of ensuring the safe passage of the train. Generally, it starts from 50 to 100m outside the scope of the expanded rail runway, and gradually pours from both ends to the middle.
After the rail temperature drops obviously, the line can be turned back and the ballast can be backfilled. If necessary, the ballast should be added in time and the section of the ballast bed should be appropriately increased.

Dial curve method

When there is a lack of water source or the rail temperature is high, and the line cannot be restored after a long time of watering and cooling, a reverse curve with a radius of not less than 200m is drawn from both ends of the expansion runway to the middle, and the clip line is not less than 10m, and the line spacing requirements should be met after the track is dialed.

Cutting rail release stress

When dealing with expanded track under difficult conditions, acetylene can be used to cut the rail, loosen the fastener and release the stress.
Then it is reinforced with splints and emergency devices, and the speed limit is 5km/h.
For the rail with acetylene cutting and burning holes, it should be monitored day and night, and it must be sawed and drilled again within 24 hours.

Strengthen inspection and surveillance

When the line has continuous broken bending and signs of rail expansion, it is necessary to strengthen inspection or send special personnel to monitor the change of track temperature and track direction.
If the broken bend continues to expand, speed limiting or blocking measures should be taken for emergency treatment.

Gradual resumption of normal traffic

After the line is stabilized, the normal running speed can be gradually restored.
The speed of the first train to be released does not exceed 15km/h, and special personnel are sent to guard and repair the line, and gradually improve the speed of the train.
