Railway fishplate quality requirements

Quality requirement

Material: The fishtail plate should be rolled from steel that meets national standards to ensure that it is corrosion resistant, rust resistant and UV resistant, and should have non-conductive and non-magnetic characteristics.

Dimensional accuracy: the length, width and thickness of the fishtail plate should comply with national standards, the allowable deviation of length and width is less than or equal to 2mm, and the allowable deviation of thickness is less than or equal to 1mm.

Surface quality: The surface of the fishtail plate should be smooth, without obvious bumps, damage, cracks, folds, bubbles and slag inclusion. Hair lines and scars with a depth of not more than 0.5mm are allowed, but the head should not protrude near the rail side.

End flatness: the end face of the fishtail plate should be flat and straight, without obvious bending and distortion.

Notch processing accuracy: the notch of the fishtail plate should be processed in strict accordance with national standards, and the depth, width and spacing of the notch should meet the requirements.

Physical properties: The fishtail plate should have a certain strength and stiffness, and can withstand various forces and loads in railway operation. At the same time, it should be heat treated to ensure that its mechanical properties and process properties meet the requirements.
